After two extra release candidates, 4th and 5th, we now have WordPress 6.7, Rollins, named in honor of jazz saxophonist Sonny Rollins.
The highlights of this version include the new Twenty Twenty-Five theme, the Zoom Out mode, Binding Blocks (blocks linked to fields), expanded typography management, better performance, PHP 8 compatibility, and several accessibility improvements, all contributed by 780 contributors, 230 of whom have participated for the first time.
After the release, and for about 24 hours, the project’s infrastructure was affected by a series of bugs and network congestion, which were progressively fixed.
