Program transcript

Hello, I’m Alicia Ireland, and you’re listening to WPpodcast, bringing the weekly news from the WordPress Community.

In this episode, you’ll find the information from February 10th to 16th, 2025.

The last two versions of the experimental plugin for the WordPress editor, Gutenberg 20.1 and 20.2, continue preparing improvements in DataViews, as well as some enhancements such as showing the menu name in the List View, or the color picker in blocks like Navigation, Social Icons, Featured Image, or Headers.

Regarding WordPress 6.8, there are over 360 tickets available, of which 160 have already been closed as fixed, and 200 remain open. Of all the work to be done, 194 are bug fixes, and more than 130 are improvements or new features.

The Photos team has surpassed 20,000 images in the WordPress Photo Directory. All images are under a Creative Commons Zero license, so they are completely free to use.

And remember that between February 20 and 22, the WordCamp Asia 2025 will take place in Manila, Philippines.

The event will begin on February 20 with Contributor Day, followed by two days of conferences and the YouthCamp.

And finally, this podcast is distributed under a Creative Commons license as a derivative version of the podcast in Spanish; you can find all the links for more information, and the podcast in other languages, at WPpodcast .org.

Thanks for listening, and until the next episode!
