Hello, I’m Alicia Ireland, and you’re listening to WPpodcast, bringing the weekly news from the WordPress Community.
In this episode, you’ll find the information from January 20th to 26th, 2025.
The next minor version of WordPress now has a date: WordPress 6.7.2 will be released on February 11, with a release candidate available the week before, on the 4th.
The task list seems to include about 30 fixes related to the Editor and about 25 for the core itself, though many of them are still pending completion.
On the Developer Blog, we have an interesting post about the possibility of working with block categories, allowing us to add new ones, reorder and prioritize them as we like, and even rename them.
And finally, this podcast is distributed under a Creative Commons license as a derivative version of the podcast in Spanish; you can find all the links for more information, and the podcast in other languages, at WPpodcast .org.
Thanks for listening, and until the next episode!
