The bbPress team has announced the release of bbPress 2.6.12, a minor version that fixes two issues.
The first issue is a security vulnerability responsibly reported through WordPress’s HackerOne bounty program. This vulnerability specifically affects WordPress installations running in single-site mode, with versions greater than 5.3.0, that have “Anyone can register” enabled and are using bbPress. Although there is no active exploitation, it is recommended to update to avoid potential risks.
The second issue is a bug in the search system introduced in version 2.6.11, which affected the accuracy of search results.
